With its "Facing the Future" theme, the conference attracted a record number of 317 participants (including 82 from Japan) from 22 countries and regions around the world. The program featured presentations and panel discussions on the broad range of themes facing the exhibition industry such as IR, the festivalisation of events, talent development, and digitization by key speakers from all industries, including Kengo Kuma, one of Japan's leading architects, who delivered the keynote address.
The participants, who included representatives of exhibition venues in Japan and abroad, sponsors, and corporate partners, also engaged in constructive exchanges during the networking opportunities built into the conference schedule.
The next conference will be held in Macau from March 3 to March 6, 2020.
